Each family will choose one summer program and one fall program, unless they choose to complete the entire book during the summer months. This option is available to grades 1, 3, 4, 5, & 6 only.
During the summer vacation, each child that participates in this program will begin their Religious Education book and complete the first unit. Depending on their grade level, the first unit is either nine or ten chapters long. Each child will complete the written work in the book and at the end of each chapter complete a short quiz online that corresponds with the lesson. The completed first unit will be handed in to the R.E office during the month of September.
Each child that participates in this program will complete the first unit of their Religious Education book. The children will work on their books as a class as well as participate in group activities and arts and crafts.
Each child that elects to attend class will choose a class day and will either attend classes in the morning, or after school. Classes are taught by volunteers, and will pickup where the summer programs left off, beginning with unit two. Class sessions will run from October through the month of March. Second graders must attend class during the Fall/Winter, as they will be preparing for the sacraments of First Penance and First Communion.
Each child that elects to complete the Religious Education program at home will complete the remainder of the book at home. Each child is responsible for completing the written work within each chapter and taking the short quiz online that corresponds with the chapter. Home Study work will be due back to the R.E. office at the end of March 2011.
Registration Forms
The Religious Education office does not recommend putting off the summer work (Unit 1) until fall classes begin. Many of our families found it difficult this past year to attend classes and complete home study work simultaneously.
In addition to completing the registration form (online or print form) please remember to also mail a copy of your child's Baptismal certificate if they are new to the program and the tuition payment.
Registration Forms may be found in the left column of this page.
