Father John R. Job attended Saint Henry Elementary School and Marist High School in Bayonne, New Jersey.
Father John graduated from Saint Peter’s College in 1986, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and Classical Languages and Literatures (Latin and Greek). He continued his education at Seton Hall University obtaining a Master of Arts in Education degree in 1991.
In 1987, after serving for one year at Benedictine Academy in Elizabeth, NJ, Father John returned to Marist High School as a teacher, and he eventually became the Department Chair of Religious Education and the Director of Campus Ministry. In 1992 Father John was appointed the Assistant Principal for Academics at Marist, a position he held until 1997. Father John’s teaching responsibilities included courses in Spanish, theology, and mathematics.
In 1997 Father John was appointed by the Archdiocese of Newark as the first lay principal of Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey. During his 10-year tenure as Principal, Father John would direct successfully the school’s first capital campaign and the school’s re-accreditation by the Middle States Association.
In 2011, he obtained a Master of Arts in Theology (Systematic Theology), and a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry at Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology at Seton Hall University. Father John was ordained to the priesthood in service to the Archdiocese of Newark on May 28, 2011.
From 2011 to 2018, Father John served as the Parochial Vicar at the Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. On July 1, 2018, Cardinal Joseph Tobin, the Archbishop of Newark, appointed him as the Pastor.
Father John also serves on the Consultative Boards at the Academy of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Franklin Lakes and Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale.
